The Twin Lakes Retired Police Officers Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization comprised mainly of retired
law enforcement officers. The purpose of the organization is to fund post-highschool scholarships for the
children and grandchildren of active and retired law enforcement officers.
All applicants must reside in Baxter or Marion County, Arkansas.
The scholarship is named for Thomas P. Brennan, a retired Chicago police officer, deceased,
who was one of the founders and first president of this organization.
The number of scholarships and the amount of each award depends on the number of applications
received and the funds available. Applications must be made on the forms provided.
All applications and attachments become the property of the Foundation.
All unused portions of the award are to be returned to the Foundation upon the applicant’s
withdrawal or removal from that college.
Scholarships will be based on academic achievement, community involvement and moral character.
No preference will be made based on employment position, length of service, salary, sex, religion or race.
Financial need of the applicant may be considered in granting awards.
Preference may be given to applicants pursuing a course of study in law enforcement, criminology or criminal justice.
The awards are for the 2019-2020 school year.
All applications, attachments and documentation, without exception, must be submitted to:

and received AND postmarked no later than May 31, 2019.
You must include with your application
two lettersof recommendation
from your 2018-2019 teachers/ professors.
Other letters of recommendation may also be included.
You must also include a
current transcript of your high school and/or college grades.
Letters of recommendation may be sent directly to the above address.
No application will be considered if it isfound to be incomplete or received after May 31, 2019.
Each applicant must also include
a letter explaining to the Scholarship Committee
why you feel you should be considered for ascholarship for the upcoming school year.
